Refill Pumps & Light Glass: Luxe Pack 2026 Packaging Trends

Refill Pumps & Light Glass: Luxe Pack 2026 Packaging Trends

Fragrance packaging is changing faster than it has in a decade. At Luxe Pack Monaco 2026 (28–30 September), suppliers of glass, pumps and caps showed the same few ideas over and over: bottles that can be refilled, screw necks instead of crimped ones, lighter glass and caps that come apart for recycling. Premium Beauty News summed the show up in five trends on 12 October 2026. Below are four of those trends and what they mean if you are building a perfume brand in India, Dubai or the wider GCC.

1. Refillable is becoming normal

A refillable bottle used to be something only luxury houses offered. Exhibitors in Monaco presented it as an everyday choice. According to Premium Beauty News, Coverpla widened its refillable range, and three of its four new bottles have screw-neck finishes. It also offers stock options from 1,000 units. Silgan Dispensing, working with Pochet Group, showed a screw-on SNI 13 pump for moulded glass bottles with a 13 mm screw neck. Techniplast, now part of Pochet Group, is adding connected features and rental options to its in-store refill machines.

What it means for you: a screw-neck bottle with a screw pump costs a little more per unit than a crimped one. In return it lets you sell refills, run a "bring back your bottle" offer, or sell a 100 mL refill next to a 30 mL travel spray. For a young D2C brand, refills are also a simple reason for customers to come back.

2. Lighter glass and recycled content

Bormioli Luigi showed a 100 mL screw-neck bottle that uses 40% less glass. Awantys showed a bottle with 60% post-consumer recycled (PCR) glass, along with a patented cap whose insert can be removed so the parts can be separated before recycling. Lighter glass is cheaper to ship, and that matters a lot when you send finished goods from Mumbai to Dubai, London or New York.

3. Europe's PPWR is now in force

Much of this activity is driven by regulation. The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR, Regulation (EU) 2025/40) has applied since 12 August 2026, and its recyclability and packaging-minimisation rules are being phased in over the next few years. If you sell in France, Germany, Italy or Spain, or plan to, recyclable caps, mono-material parts and less empty space in gift boxes are fast becoming expected rather than optional. Ask your customs broker or EU importer which obligations apply to your products and when.

4. Premium materials are still in demand

Sustainability has not replaced luxury. Monaco suppliers also showed caps in marble, concrete and wood, sculptural bottles, and one-piece injection-moulded caps for haute-parfumerie lines. In the Gulf, where a heavy cap still signals quality, the smartest approach is a premium-looking cap that can be separated from the bottle. Examples are wood or zamac over a removable insert, or a magnetic cap on a screw-neck bottle.

How to use these trends in your next launch

Choose the neck before the bottle

Decide whether you want crimp (sealed, lowest cost, no refills) or screw (refillable, slightly higher cost) first. Then pick a bottle shape that comes in that neck size. Changing your mind after the boxes are printed is expensive.

Prototype before you order

Use the 3D bottle and label designer to try caps, colours and labels on screen before you order samples. Test your oils with a sample kit. For example, try a rich oud such as Inspired by The House Of Oud Hidden Shades or a fresh leather-iris like Inspired by Xerjoff P.33. Reference names only describe the scent direction; there is no affiliation with these brands.

Match the pack to the market

What sells varies by country. Our Trend Radar and worldwide market pages, such as fragrance oils for Germany, show which scents lead in each market, so your juice and your packaging both fit the buyer.

FAQ

Is a screw pump more expensive than a crimp pump?

Usually yes, slightly, per unit. The bottle must also have a screw neck. The extra cost often pays off when you sell refills or target EU buyers who expect refillable packaging.

Do Indian or GCC brands need to follow the EU PPWR?

Only when they place packaged products on the EU market, directly or through an importer. If Europe is in your plans, design for recyclability now and check the specific obligations with your EU importer or customs broker.

Can I get refillable bottles in small quantities?

Yes. Stock refillable bottles in standard sizes are available in short runs, while custom moulds need much larger orders. Haveli AI® supplies glass bottles (20/30/50/100 mL and more), crimp and screw pumps, and zamac, wood, acrylic and magnetic caps alongside contract filling.

Which documents come with the fragrance?

IFRA certificates, SDS and COA are available on request, with a GST invoice for Indian buyers.
