Autumn 2026 Fragrance Launches: 6 New Scents to Know

Autumn is when perfume houses bring out their warmest, richest work, and the 2026 season is no exception. Six launches covered by Who What Wear (10 October 2026) show where the market is heading: creamy gourmands, toasted and grilled notes, and soft iris and violet. Below is what each one contains, in the notes the houses published, followed by what this season means if you are building your own fragrance line.

The six launches

Byredo — Future Memories (Eau de Parfum)

A bright, slightly green opening of blackcurrant, aldehydes and galbanum gives way to iris butter and orange blossom, then settles on labdanum, vanilla, musk and Ambrofix. It reads as a clean, powdery-modern skin scent with some sparkle on top.

Chanel — Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu (Eau de Parfum)

The newest Coco Mademoiselle flanker puts grapefruit and lychee over rose and jasmine, on a base of patchouli, vetiver and vanilla. It is still the chypre-floral DNA people know, with fruit up front and more vanilla in the drydown. Our Coco Mademoiselle-inspired oil is a good starting point for that family.

Parfums de Marly — Althaïr Exclusif (Eau de Parfum)

A more intense take on Althaïr: cinnamon, cardamom and orange blossom over praline and bourbon vanilla, with guaiac wood and Ambrox for depth. It is a textbook spiced gourmand for cold evenings. See our Althaïr Exclusif-inspired oil and the original Althaïr direction.

Dries Van Noten — Velvet Violet (Eau de Parfum)

The most unusual of the group. Pink pepper and violet leaf meet clary sage, toasted sesame absolute and roasted barley, over grilled tonka, benzoin and vetiver. It is violet seen through a toasted, cereal-like lens, and shows how far 'roasted' notes have travelled into luxury perfumery.

Penhaligon's — The Manoeuvres of the Baroness (Eau de Parfum)

A new Portraits character built on orange blossom, Chantilly cream, sandalwood and incense: a soft, creamy floral with a smoky, almost ceremonial base.

Phlur — Vanilla Canyon (Eau de Parfum)

Vanilla with oak wood, wild honey, velvet plum and patchouli. It is a darker, woodier vanilla than the sugary ones that took over social media in recent years.

What the season tells us

  • Gourmand keeps evolving. Praline, cream, honey and vanilla are everywhere, but now balanced by woods, incense and spice rather than pure sugar.
  • Toasted notes are going mainstream. Sesame, barley and grilled tonka in a designer launch signals that 'roasted' accords are moving from niche to the wider market.
  • Powdery florals are back. Iris butter and violet show up in two of the six launches, softened with musks for a modern skin-scent feel.
  • Flankers still sell. Chanel and Parfums de Marly are both extending proven names, a reminder that a strong core scent can carry a whole range.

For brand builders: turning a trend into a product

If you sell perfume under your own label in India, the Gulf or abroad, autumn launches are a useful brief. A spiced praline gourmand or a creamy orange-blossom-and-sandalwood scent would sit comfortably next to these launches on any shelf. You can browse our bestselling fragrance oils for ready-made directions, order a fragrance oil sample kit to smell them side by side, then move to private-label production with your own bottle and label from the Label Atelier.

Notes are as published by the brands and reported by Who What Wear. Reference names describe scent direction only; Haveli AI® and Aurelis Fragrance are not affiliated with these houses.
